America Mood Board
Mood board Part I: Research
America- I perceive America as
being a melting pot of lots of different things and people. It also represents
freedom and the “American Dream” (white picket fences). I think of outdoor
activities, such as picnics and sports.
Mood board Part II: Visuals
1. Places Visuals:
2. Textures Visuals:
3. Objects Visuals:
Mood board Part III: Colors
Colors I think of with America include red, white, blue, and
green.
Mood board Part IV: Execution
1. Places: I plan to go to
Indiantown Gap to take pictures at the nation cemetery because they have lots
of monuments there. I also plan to take pictures at a picnic ground.
2. Textures: I plan to go around my house and surrounding area to try and find some green grass areas. I also plan to go walking around the nature trail near the local elementary school to get the nature-y textures.
3. Objects: For objects I took pictures down in Washington D.C. and at the National Cemetery.
Mood board Part V: Bringing
it together
I plan to make one of my pictures of a picnic and
incorporate in different sports objects. For my other image I plan to
incorporate in the idea of the “American Dream”.
I will add in textures to the car picture to make it seem vintage and will add in textures to the monument picture to make it more summer-y so it seems more around Fourth of July.
I plan to add car like objects to the car image and other household items that remind me of America and pictures from around DC (such as small parts of monuments and common surroundings) that are patriotic to the monument picture.

Thunderstorm-Final Images
I used a base image of the car in the yard. My textures were the leaves under the trees and the clouds in the windows. My objects were the electrical tower and the umbrella. And my colors were yellow and orange.
My base image was the road. My textures were the grass and an overlay of a crumpled bag. My objects were my sister walking with the umbrella and the pole. My colors were black on the road and blue in the distance.

Mood Board-Thunderstorms
Mood board Part I: Research
Thunderstorm
I perceive thunderstorms as being mainly nature, with some
electrical aspects thrown in there. Electrical comes in with both the lightning
aspect and the idea that the electric can be harshly affected by a storm. Darkness
is another main aspect surrounding thunderstorms. Though I also imagine the
calm before the storm as being a light and airy time.
Mood board Part II: Visuals

Mood board Part III: Colors
Colors I imagine with thunderstorms are dark grey, bright
yellow, orange, black, white, blue
Mood board Part IV: Execution
1. Places: For places, I went around my house and took
nature shots and plan to later add in objects and textures to pull the whole
thing together. I may also take more nature shots when the snow is melted
(after the hopeful warm up this coming week) to make the calm before the storm.
2. Textures: I again plan on going around the outside of my house to take the nature textures.
3. Objects: I went down to my local park and took pictures of the playground equipment, along with different umbrella pictures and electrical towers/poles around my neighborhood.
Mood board Part V: Bringing it together
I plan to make 2 images which focus mainly on the nature aspect
of a storm, while incorporating in objects and textures to create one image of
post storm and one pre-storm. For post storm I plan to create image with disheveled
trees and objects laying around everywhere and for pre-storm I plan to make an
image that shows the calm before the storm. I again, plan to take pictures that will incorporate in pre-and post-storm.
